THE ETHICS OF AI // HPE

At a time when most brands are recklessly celebrating the promises of AI, we decided to take a step back. With Moral Code: The Ethics of AI, we addressed the most consequential questions surrounding AI in an 8-minute documentary generating over 1MM organic views on YouTube and screened HPE’s annual tech event.

HEY BARISTA MAGAZINE

Hey Barista is a print magazine and event series built in collaboration with the most interesting personalities in the coffee world. Each annual issue is distributed across hundreds of global cafes, with magazine launch parties happening across North America, Europe, Asia, South America and Australia.

OATLY LAKE // A DUMB PODCAST

In 2021, Oatly discovered a lake in Northern Michigan that shared its name: Oatly Lake. The pristine body of water was no bigger than the size of a football field, and aside from the lake’s owner—Justin Housler—no one could confirm or deny its existence. So…we went to Mesick to check it out for ourselves.

Three months later, what started out as an internal joke turned into Oatly’s first ever podcast which AdWeek deemed “A masterclass in branded content”.

JOHN MAYER OUTSIDE // LAND ROVER

In 2020, Land Rover re-releases its legendary Defender vehicle. We brought musician John Mayer—a lifelong Defender enthusiast—to Jedidiah Smith Redwood State Park to remind people why they need to get out and explore the American wilderness. The trip was documented in a marquee video asset running across The Atlantic, as well as a social asset package of short form BTS clips.

TOUCH THIS ART // LINCOLN

For the launch of Lincoln’s newest vehicle, The Nautilus, we built a public art installation in downtown Manhattan. The installation took the technology at the core of the vehicle, and used it to produce an engaging experience in the Seaport District. The installation, aptly named The Nautilus, is made up of 95 interactive poles, each connected to a series of sensors, LED lights and speakers. Upon a person’s touch, the installation immediately responds with a choreographed light and audio show.

THE WATCHMAN // HBO

“The Massacre of Black Wall Street”—produced in partnership with Atlantic Re:think writer Natalie Chang and comic book illustrator Clayton Henry—is a dynamic, visual story about the 1921 Tulsa Massacre. In a digital experience that combined original, graphic-novel-style illustrations with accurate accounts of the tragedy, HBO shed light on an overlooked event in America’s long history of racial injustice.

BARISTA WORKWEAR // OATLY

In collaboration with LA-based fashion brand Kids of Immigrants, Oatly introduced a barista workwear line for the people who keep the coffee world humming. The capsule included a chore jacket, messenger bag, hat, and of course, a rag.

SCORING THE DRIVE // LAND ROVER

We put award-winning composer Hans Zimmer behind the wheel of a Range Rover and brought him to Angeles Crest Highway, high in the San Gabriel Mountains. Twenty-four hours later Zimmer started composing an original score for his drive, using POV footage capture from the hood of the car.
